La Fashion Revolution ou comment repenser la mode #IMadeYourClothes

The Fashion Revolution, or how to rethink fashion #IMadeYourClothes

Fashion Revolution ( @fash_rev ) is an initiative to reimagine a fair fashion system. The initiative also includes the #IMadeYourClothes movement, which aims to encourage consumers to question who makes their clothes (and especially under what conditions) and to push fast fashion companies to be more transparent. In a society of overconsumption, we are led to consume more and more and to keep our clothes for less time, which is not without serious consequences.

A simple Google search is enough to understand the impact fashion has on the environment and the people exploited in the production process. The movement was launched following the 2013 collapse of a garment factory in Bangladesh, which killed over 1,135 people.

At Belle + Rebelle, our goal is to promote local and ethical fashion. That's why the vast majority of the companies we carry in our store manufacture their pieces locally, in Quebec or Canada. During your next visit to our store, ask us the question:

"Who makes my clothes?"

The answer is here:

Founder of Kazak. Seamstress of Marigold.

Mother and seamstress of Mercedes Morin.

The team behind Melow. Designer of Cokluch
